Zoe-perry
Perry is she is Chicago native born to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Perry made her debut in the television screen in the role of Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in her role on the ABC comedy Roseanne. Her parents, however, did not allow her to act until she turned an adult due to the effects stress would affect their child. Perry, who was too shy for acting in school, began performing at Northwestern University because she wanted to meet new people. Perry left for New York, where she got small roles on shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Home sickiness caused Perry home to California and theater roles were in demand. Perry starred with her mother as part of The Other Place at Broadway the previous year. Kevin McKidd, her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning drama Anna Christie together with her in 2015. Perry was a part of the drama's nine episodes from 2016 on the ABC drama The Family. Her father played her on The ABC drama Scandal. The same year her character was cast a younger version of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) on Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again playing a young character of her mom's role. Despite having a family connection to the character she received the part through an audition.
